I really like the vholdr 1080p great video and sound quaility and comes with everything you need to use to and play back the footage

X2 picture perfect quality
X3, Wife bought me the Contour HD 1080p for Xmas. First run with the thing last week and damn…. This thing rocks.
I was amazed how easy it was to use, gloved up and mounted to the helmet out of sight. The only thing I don’t like is that I really had no idea of the thing was working, no way to preview and or erase runs in the field. Having said that once home and dumped to the computer all I could say is wow. Awesome quality

just got the go pro hd from veedy on here like it so far
While reading about new gadgets at the CES show in Las Vegas I stumbled upon what could be the future of helmet cams:

It isn't 1080p, and who knows if it'll fit inside a helmet worth a crap, plus it's my guess that they might be a bit bulky for folks who like having peripheral vision. BUT, it'd alway be with you, no fumbling to attach it, being careful in the trees to not knock it off. Plus, it has a little led indicator light inside the goggle to tell you if it's on or not.
According to this they hope to be selling them for $150!
Anyway, that's not even available yet. Right now, the vholdr looks like the way to go. Low profile means it shouldn't accidentally get ripped off by a tree branch or something.

You get what you pay for with helmet cams.. there are lots of options out there, several are very much alike..
I personally feel a veiw finder is mandatory. I also want my helmet cam to have some sort of teather to keep from losing it..
I do not feel that HD is nessasary, unless Im going to blow it up super sized you cant really tell the diff..
