It was not my sled Oske, this was HPS testing, 2 stock XP's, went to Jefferson, raced stock - they were even, then put a HPS on one. Raced multiple runs, HPS was 5 lengths faster, no other mods.

THottle Junkie - I ran my HPS XP against over a dozen XP's with other brand cans, I was not beaten.;)

Now thread over................................

Sorry Slim I have to call BS. HPS claims 2 - 3 HP. and 3HP is not going to give you 5 sled lenghts in race....if it did nobody would be buying 860 kits.

all this can talk is BS.
last year their was no real performance difference between a stock xp, xp with hps can, or a xp with a super Q can. All were 154's.
This is from personal experiance with me and the guys I ride with.
All the places that make the can's lie on the performance difference. they all claim a 2-3hp gain. It is marketing. If you say you will not get any gain with their can you will not buy one. you will buy the one that claims a 2-3hp gain over the one that says no hp gain even if the real results are different. Why? Because hardly any one dyno's their sled and your butt dyno can not notice a 2-3hp gain or loss any ways.
Buy whatever can looks or sounds the best to you. Or you can weigh them all and go off of weight.

example: slp claims a 2-3 hp gain with their can. I was talking to one of their techs and had alot of questions about their full exhaust and their head for my xp. I was told they dyno all their stuff and use the dyno alot. Said they have several dyno's and have wore out several dyno's. I asked about their can and what it dynoed. He said it gains about a 1/2hp. I would rather know for a fact that a can does not lose hp then a claim of 5 sled lengths or 2-3hp.

What oil is best to use on a xp with a hps can? :p

I aggree 100%. I wanted the weight loss...No way a can will make a noticable power difference.

Like Throttle Junkie said...if your buying a can for power increase your going to be dissappointed.

I bought my HPS for the 10 lbs weight loss, the sound, the look, and you can actually adjuster the chain now without taking the can off.

Good grief.

Check my posts, I never said an "increase" in HP, it may be, it's just the XP performs better with the HPS can.

Call B.S. all you want, dont shoot the messenger, Just giving you the reports of what happened.

Now, this thread is over......... for me, happy trails.

I Slim----Thanks for the update--I was just making sure it was not a little 600 of yours that was getting this type of testing with these results;)

HPS can

Put a HPS on my 2004 Rev 800HO. Ran great and sounded awesome > Put a jaws pipe on my 08 XP seems to work ok , just not the deep throaty sound of the HPS. Jaws pipe is quieter.
