I ordered a set of their long handlebar hooks thru partsunlimited at my dealer in early september. I knew they were back ordered at the end of the season last year so i waited until september to order them figuring they would be caught back up. I have been given different backorder dates 3 times now. they just keep pushing it back. Now they say i wont have them til the middle of november. Ive tried calling rsi multiple times and no one will answer. Ive even left messages with no return phone call. I just want to know whats going on and why it seems to be so dam hard to make some handlebar hooks?

...Very poor customer service if u ask me!:face-icon-small-sad

Hang in there! They are a great company and will take care of you soon. I know it's not a good excuse but these snow shows back these guys up, they have to get there product out there and the only way is to attend these shows! Most these companies have only one or two employees! Thank goodness for aftermarket companies though... without them snowmobiling would be boring as helI!! Later

Have you tried getting them through any other RSI dealers (online, or through other motorsports stores)? Have to agree with Skippy that right now it's prob the snow shows holding things up, but can't help with why there weren't any available all summer.

There are a ton of other options online for parts like that, whether or not they specifically deal with RSI I can't guarantee, but you should be able to find a good product instead of waiting on P.U. to get them in stock and hopefully get your dealer a set before they ship all they have to somewhere else first. Just doin a little thinkin for ya. Good luck.

I met with them at a couple shows and they said they would be busy for a while. I love their products and customer service. Hang in there they will come through for you.

Its weird cuz i had talked to one of the guys at their haydays booth and i had asked him what was going on with the hooks and he told me they should be getting some out in a week or so. I would have ordered them off the website but if u go to the website they r unavailable and u cant even select them to put them on an order at all. I know i could go somewhere else and get hooks but i have their aluminum taper bars and i need longer hooks for my setup. If i go with short hooks i dont think i will have enough room to get a good grip on the bars and i havent been able to find long hooks anywhere else.

Thanks for the replies guys. I just feel i have been patient for awhile now and its getting a little rediculous. I hope they get this fixed soon so i can get my sled done and ready for snow!

Chunky,
Yes our hooks are behind in arriving this year. We ran out last spring and does not make sense to stock them in the summer months. When you deal with offshore manufacturing there are variables that comne into play the average person does not know about. The hooks have been shipped to us from the factory and we will start filling back orders next week when they arrive at our facility.

We know there is some snow but the riding season is still out a bit. These shows defintly take up a lot of man hours. One weekend off and back to shows every weekend till Thanksgiving. Well I guess one weekend off of shows but not off of work. Been in office since 7am.

Shop hours are Monday through Thurdsay 8-5 moutain time, closed for lunch. During show season traveling schedules may delay responses in phone calls.

Thank you,
RSI

I have had really good customer service with RSI, I had an issue with some wiring on their hi-temp elements and they were quick to email me and send the information I needed.

Im STILL waiting for my hooks... Tho im told they "should" be on their way. Showed my dealer the throttle cable and said they would get in contact with rsi and get me a new one. Apparently the warranty guy at RSI doesnt work or something cuz my dealer says he is never there when they call. Im sick of this crap! Just give me my hooks and give me my money back for the throttle cable! Im done!

things change. i dont trust my dealer right down the street anymore. unless im looking for a "quad" or a rocket they could care less anymore. i think you should attempt to contact RSI yourself before you complain about their customer service is all
