What's Fair Game for Off Trail Riding?

I'm planning on riding around the Houghton area and was wondering where I can ride off trail legally. I couldn't find much info on the dnr site. Any info or good places to ride would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ive heard of ppl riding the power lines up there.

even though everybody does it, keep in mind the power lines are technically private property. if you're going to ride that area a lot, consider purchasing a plat book....

there are tons of places to play ,, just start looking around when you get there, just watch for no tresspassing signs
