Whats everyone running for air intakes ? Any "homemade" ones?

I run prefilter over the stock intake horn on my 08 M8. Works good, cheap, and drops weight off the hood.

u must have your hood sealed up good or you don't ride in very much powder cuz i tried the exact same thing on my m7 once and as soon as i hit the POW it would bog bad enough it wouldn't move. pulled the prefilter off the air horn and the box was full of ice and water. the small opening in the air horn created enough suction that it pulled the snow right through the prefilter. pissed me off cuz i forgot and left the rest of the intake home so it ruined a beatiful day.

I think what i might do is just to eliminate the fact of having to undo the airhorn/rubber boot when taking off the hood is ill run a airfilter up high above my winshield but in my dash and then have some flexible pipe on it and heat tape it up and then vent the belly and hood more and just bring the hose over the intake box hole so when/if the front of the hood plug up the airfilter and hose is still bringing cold air down and "shooting" it out over the airbox inlets.

So this is my idea i would have a airfilter on this tubing up behind the winshield or in front of it i dont know yet and then the red represents i would just have the hose cut so that its not actually connected to the airbox but still sending cold air down and dispersing it over the aibox inlet the i will open up more and mesh everything

Rode mine today in 2-3 feet of powder, didnt miss a beat all day long. I will try to get some pics in the next day or 2. All I have done is, Madfab designs gauge cage/ vent, vents on each side of the gauge and a 3 inch frogskin in the front center of the hood. plus frogskins on the 3 front vents. Ditched the stock air intake and put a screen cover on the airbox intake. which is a 4 inch hole not the 3 inch.

I have a bdx box with some holes drilled in the top with frog skinz over them. So when there is lots of powder in the front lower vents it can still get air from the top. With all of the vents in the hood i have no power loss or bogging problems.
