X2. I have one and it is about that old. Get the book with it or get them to drop the price without the book. I may be able to find mine if you need a copy of one.
I got the exact same one. I was at Dan Adams Next Level Clinic last winter and it worked on the drills and me and my buddy do drills with it and it works just fine with other bacons. Its been said that avalanche beacons are suppose to corrospond with other brand of beacons so there it should work. I like this style its really easy to use and the most purchase (thats what I been told). Is it yours or you looking at buying it?
Absolutely. Some beacons do encounter issues with frequency drift, if you can get it checked by someone with a pieps DSP or an ortovox S1, both of those beacons will tell you if yours is within tolerances. (there are likely others I don't know about that can do this as well?) I believe that if your beacon has experienced drift you can send it to BCA to be reset.
The harness on the old BCA is a pain in the butt, and the buttons are a bit small, other than that no real "issues" with that model.
