There are idiots everywhere. I have had to force myself not to look at the comments on news stories on the internet because of how many stupid and ignorant people post there. Commonsense in public places of the internet(yahoo stories and such) is pretty scarce and educated people are even more scarce.

As far as constitutional rights they are not gone far from it. Just today a bunch of religious extremists setup camp right in front of our student union and said how God does not love gays. The gay people of our school then gather right next to it and held signs saying god loves gays. I would have loved to enact some vigilante justice on those extremists because I can't stand how some people use religion as a reason for hate and it makes Catholics everywhere look bad. Regardless, I couldn't do anything about it because they have FREEDOM OF SPEECH and they have the right to voice their opinions.

People who complain about losing their rights and point to a few cases the MEDIA has doctored for the shock factor are kinda hypocrites in my opinion. You cannot try to say that your smart and wise and you see how the government is tightening the shackles on the american people and when someone asks for proof you use stories that the mass media sell for shock value. Remember there's two sides for every story and the media twists stories to try attract more viewers.

But Pj, just out of curiosity can you give me an example of something that you could voice your opinion on and it would be illegal?

MHA, it's deader than a doornail. If I say something, which according to the Constitution I have that right and it offends someone I can get my arse in trouble.

Now flags, custom flags are ok. Even the Confederate flag is ok. But to modify the Flag of the United States , desecrating it by putting his image on it is so damn wrong. the only thing his face should be on is the paper I wipe my arse with.

Wrong and wrong.

Offending someone is not against the law. Show me a case where someone was offended and the person doing it was prosecuted. Assault does not count.

Flag Etiquette is just that Etiquette, it is NOT law. Like it or not.
