freedom of speach is dead along with many of our other constitution rights.
but when obama gets to have his face replace the stars of the flag, and we cant even say certain things on facebook without it being deleted by the government, its highly offensive.

That isn't Freedom of Speech. Explain to me this, why is it OK for him to alter the flags image and display it publically when:
A lady displaying an American Flag on her apartment balcony is asked to take it down because somebody complained.
A US Vet is asked to take down his flags (US and POW) because his neighbors are anti-war.
A church is asked to remove the Nativity Scene off their front lawn because the ACLU says it's offensive.
I could go on forever. Quit defending that man (if you could call him that)

It wasn't him, it was a local democratic party in Florida.. I don't think anyone can alter the US flag.. There are specific rule about how flags are to be shown, handled, and what not. I think anyone connected with the president would know most of that stuff...
As to your other example of the vet, DON"T LIVE IN A FRICKEN HOA..

Flag etiquette is a strange thing. Most of us probably don't follow it.
Here is one link I found that seems legit, but I dunno. I have seen instances of all those rules being broken. I don't like Obama and that would chap my arse, but our country has had groups make their own flags for years (Don't Tread, Confederate, Donkey, Elephant, etc). Some people don't think the Confederate flag should ever be flown but to others it's their heritage. For me it means Daisy Duke!

Never heard of a CHURCH having to remove a nativity scene. Government office, yes. Church no.
This has nothing to do with Obama, Bush, whomever. It is still freedom of speech. It's not dead. Freedom of speech = public, not private places.
MHA, it's deader than a doornail. If I say something, which according to the Constitution I have that right and it offends someone I can get my arse in trouble.
Now flags, custom flags are ok. Even the Confederate flag is ok. But to modify the Flag of the United States , desecrating it by putting his image on it is so damn wrong. the only thing his face should be on is the paper I wipe my arse with.
