What would be the best off trail fanner ?

I dont care if its an elan or a phazer or a tundra. I prefer 2 cylinder and I want to have something for tight woods that will get on top of snow and be as light as possible.

If you want something out of the box you don't have to mod I'd say a 570 Mountain Cat will be as close to an off trail fanner that you'll find.

I personally think the phazers were years ahead of their time. My Dad rode an 85 he bought new. Aaen pipe, and porting. We took the 116 track off and put a 136 on it with 1.5 inch Simmons plastic cleats. Of the group of guys we rode with it was head and shoulders above anything else.

I had an trail rmk in the gen 2 chassis. It was a good sled. I wouldn't be afraid of a 144 or even a 151 under one of those.

550 doo in a rev or XP platform with a 2"x136 or141 would be a great sled, bullet proof units really!

Had no idea they ever put a fanner in a Pro. Would be a world ahead of the Cat...

Older Backcountry 550 with a deeper lugged or extended 136. Ski stance from a 300 can make it sit at 32" and it's about as light as it comes. I have 2 300's with 121's and they are very hard to get stuck or not be able to crawl out of something.

I didn't check that. I wonder where the extra weight is added?

Not sure. Same as the RMK 600 tho. Tips over 450lbs. Makes me kinda rethink my Switchback Assault 600 snowcheck. We’ll see what happens when I get it.

Do you want old / cheap.... Or do you want light weight? The new (er) 800's are just as light, and in many cases lighter then most of the fan cooled sleds and you get 2-3 times the HP.
