What winch to get for my pickup?

Hey everyone, i'm looking into getting a winch for my pickup and wanted to see what people have and what they like.

I'm not looking to do real serious off-roading but would use it for recovery and other misc. stuff. I have an ARB bumper on the pickup already that will house a winch.

Warn is nice stuff, but damn, its spendy. I ran a milemarker for the last few years and loved it, had some small issues with it, mainly due to beating the living crap out of it, but even then, it held up amazing and is still ticking to this day.

When I say I beat on it, it was a 12k winch and I definately maxed it out a few times, and then I would have somebody chain to my truck and jerk on it while i was whinching on a stuck truck. I would slack the cable and ram against it.. it took insane amounts of abuse with nothing but lasting results. And it wasnt just every once in a while I smashed on the thing, I was the only one with a winch for a long time, so if i couldnt do it with the winch alone, we tried harder.

I've had surprisingly good luck with my cheapazz Harbor freight winch, It's always worked and has been through a lot of abuse.

I like my smittybuilt. Its worked well so far.
