what to do?? ideas anyone?

hey guys i got an 04 rev and i wanna take off that ugly bulky tail light crap off and put an LED on the bumper or something. what LED light are you guys using. SLP has one but you have to buy and adaptor of some sort and they dont have any some any suggestions? and i would also like to add some cool stuff and take some stuff off and do something with the big wind sheild so what have you guys done with your rev to spruce up the look of your sled a bit? thanks in advance!

I took that fat A R S E seat off and put a '07 seat from a summit X on my '04. I also ditched the bug screen and got a Powermadd chrome shorty sheild. Put on a 10" riser block, and got a '07 lightweight tail light kit from BRP. It gives the older Rev model the tail light, wire conduits from the '06 - '07 Rev. I'd also toss the S H Y T E skis and get yourself a pair of 6.9 mountain pilots or slydog powderhounds. I also got a airbox from a '07 800R engine. The intake is larger and yeilds a 3-5hp yeild with jetting up to a 390 to 380 main depending on your riding elevation. Put on a set of rings or a new top end if it is over 2000 miles. The rings have a tendency to spin around after the 2000 mile mark, grab an exhaust port and...... A two wheel rear axle with 8" wheels as well as a set of snow eliminators due to the fact that the running bords were costantly chocked with snow. Got a set of stiffners from MARCUSO. Now it looks like a '06 X and I am very EXCITE!!!

My neighbor and myself have done the SLP light. It looks great and as you noted gets rid of that bulky black pile of hud on the back. Go for it! I had a small piece of aluminum bent to move the led up to where it can be seen easier.

sweet thanks guys! i was planning on getting a set of snow eliminators cause im sick of all the snow build up. i was lookin into 8" big wheels also. anyone have any experience with fabcraft? im also thinkin about just cuting down the wind sheild instead of blowing alot of cash on a new one. anyone got any other suggestions?

I took the tail light off and replaced it with...nothing.
If your gonna run a egt gauge you'll draw enough power and won't overload your stator.

Check out ttabs mod shop on Dootalk, tons of little mod ideas and shows a windshield mod you can do. I'd advise doing some venting, either do your own with per screen or just buy some. There was a thread were everyone showed their home made vent mods but I don't remember if it was on the new or old site.

i took that ugly deal off the wifes 06 and put a led lite from trucklite. i used a piece of aluminum angle and bolted it to the tunnel and the lite to it it looks way better
