What to change??? Can or Seat???

I'd do a can first. the seats to suck but a can give the sled a wwaayy better sound and sheds around 10 pounds
I think I'd buy a seat. You should be able to sell the stocker for $100 in the classifieds on the forum.
You can buy the new Cat seat through Freeagent on the forum for under $250 shipped.
A nice new Boss seat can be bought through her for about $100 more.
The Boss seat saves about 8 pounds. The Cat seat saves a few (I'm not sure how many) as well.
When you afford it, buy a complete SLP pipe setup. You get 159 hp in one purchase.

I would go with a can. The seat is just there for looks. If you are like me you never sit on it except to take a break.
I would go with a can. I only use the seat when I get too tired to stand, but then again a better seat sure wouldbe nice when this happens...

get a seat. i just bought a new 2010 seat for my 2007 m8 for $300, i wish i would have had one on my m7. way more comfort and easier on the body. also recommend nosno running boards if you ride in deep powder. if noise makes you feel like you have more power get a can.

I AGREE, I DONT LIKE THE TALLER SHORTER SEATS, HAVE TRIED THEM AND ILL PASS, WOULD LIKE A LIGHTER SEAT BUT JUST THE SAME HEIGHT AND LENTH, FOR A TALL GUY I DONT THINK ITS AS BIG A DEAL.
I DONT SIT WHEN I RIDE, I SIT WHEN I REST.
IF A CAN SAVES WEIGHT AND CREATS SOME MORE EVEN A LITTLE POWER GET THE CAN, TRY THE SLED AND SEE IF YOU HATE THE SEAT YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT.

There is alot you can do for that price;seat, can, intake, clutching, vents, ect.
The new seats are really nice, they save a few lbs, and put you up a little taller. I did not "Dred" riding on the old seats, and typically did many other mods before even considering a seat. I must say that I am going to switch out the stock seat on my wife's M6 with the new 2010 seat. I think sitting a little higher on the sled makes her feel more comfortable riding.
A can is nice, as long as you chose one that doesn't lose power. I like the Skinz Ultra-Q, but that is just my opinion.....Asking what type of can is almost like asking what oil to run around here!

A can is nothing but "mental horsepower". A seat you'll actually feel the difference. Now, whether you like one more than other, nobody here is gonna be able to answer that for you.
if you sit down and ride, this seems silly to me but i've heard some folks do it

X2 with the seat it is over rated,If your over 6 foot maybe can see your point, but who is sitting down.That spells trouble were we ride.Save your money for gas and beer and just ride the hell out of it!!!!!!!! The couch seat is way better at breck time anyway......
