What to buy..?

I guess the boondocker have som advantages there. Thats true, if i dont find someone with good service from bd i think i would find something else. Do you know if there is a difference in performance between Bd and Twisted if i have 8-10psi boost?

People claim the twisted has more power but I don't know for sure. I don't want to mix gas. I wouldn't get too carried away about performance. All the kits mentioned are going to run good. Maybe climbing chutes it would mean more but in the trees it is all rider. If you crank the boost high enough you will have your hands full with any of them in the trees. You should be more concerned with service if you are a first timer.

I have seen some high numbers on some sleds with twisted, but yes that is with some % racefuel. I was just thinking $$ vs performance:) I am not a fan of tree riding, i like hillclimbing. I am concerned about the service for some of these kits. I know a guy that bought Silber kit from 2011, he didnt get it to work. Dont know what the problem was, but it wasnt just 1 problem. It`s plenty of kits to choose, but what is the best for a first timer?

Learn from an expert

Find a good tuner shop nearby that is familiar with your area and conditions and see what they are running. Have them do your install. Some will let you watch the install, explain things along the way and even go riding with you to help you tune it. They will also be there to help you if you have issues later.

Learn from the experts then make make your own decision on a different setup after you have some experience. It will save you money and headaches and not leave you in the trailer or at the bottom of the hill when your buddies are riding the deep.:juggle:

Well.. The tuner i could use in my area said that i could install the Bd kit myself and come to him for dyno and mapping. I am not a 1`st timer with the wrench so i guess the install isn`t the biggest problem. There is also plenty of instructions to follow on Bd`s homepage. It`s easy to get others to install parts on your sled, car etc. But you will never learn something. When it get to the setup, that comes with the experience as you said:)

Well.. I dont think i wil need a backup sled. I know that turbo isnt pull and go, but do you mean that there is to much trouble with turbo?

The turbo owners will ALL tell you...have a backup sled.

Bigbore owners will tell you the same thing....though maybe not as often.

They tell you this for a reason, unless like not being able to ride while your turbo sled is down and you are waiting for repairs or parts.

Whoaaaa there. Not so fast. ;)
THAT has potential to be a HUGE issue.
You HAVE to make sure it's done PERFECT. There are SO many things to miss or do wrong.

I am aware of that and i am not that guy who rush through things when it comes to important things like this. If that tuner tells me that, i trust him on that. But my plan from the beginning was to mount a kit and get it checked by a tuner. Or ask a tuner if we could mount it together, if that is necessary. And i dont say that i could do anything the first time and get it right, nobody can.

Install it yourself. You will be way more knowledgeable about your kit. I haven't needed a spare with a turbo since 98. I got pulled out alot on that one.

I like boondocker for what you get. The ebc is awesome. As far as the rest go, I imagine that they are all good. My buddy has an aero and it works great but you have to change springs and washers to change boost. The ebc you can just hit a button. If you buy a boondocker you should buy it from someone you can get service from and deal with them instead of boondockers. That is worth it's weight in gold.

Who's aero kit? And any more info on it would be great to know.

Does anybody know if there is a turbo pro rmk 600 out there?

Yep, HM Turbos has one. I saw it briefly on the snow two weeks ago when i was up at Lolo Pass with them.
I think their kit is ready for fall orders after a busy spring of finalizing their mapping.

Sounds cool. Wonder how they will perform with a turbo:evil: I see that Aerocharger delivers kit for the 600, but i cant say that i have heard of any 600 with aero kit. But i guess time will tell:)

Sorry, didn't quite catch what you meant there. Lol
