What tether to buy?

There are a fair number of options out there that plug right in including this one, and the OEM offering by Polaris. I think you will find although the OEM option works well, a watercraft/ATV style is more reliable. You may find it's a matter of personal preference though. I've run a couple different types of tethers, and have never personally run into issues with any of them.

I put the polaris one on. I have a 2" powermadd riser and drilled the hole in that so its out of where it can get iced up and is out of anywhere it can snag.

the oft racing one looks sweet was going to get it but guys have been breaking the pro armor clip and not being able to get replacements.

where the polaris style i can get a spare plug and tether at my local hardware/automotive store (canadian tire).

Pick up the Pro Armor, snip the ends of the wires, put a couple blade style ends on and plug it in and your done!

OFT Racing now has the Pro Armor tether with the correct end plug for the Polaris. Literally plug and play! It's a nice and super easy set up! Took me 4 mintues for me to install.

Seems to me that a tether is mainly to prevent track rash on a rollover. The Tethair wouldn't prevent that. I also want my machine to shut down immediately, no 30 feet away in the trees. Waste of money imho. Pro Armor for me.

30' away? It's set up wrong then. I can't walk around my sled without it shutting off. Works every time.

OFT tether needs to get a clue on there shipping charges. I was charged 13 bucks for USPS. The handling charge on these is out of line.

And the 13 bucks is the same to ship one or several. Get a couple of buddies together and split the shipping charges. Pro Armor makes a great tether. Have run one for over five years on my previous sleds. Just found the OFT version with the finished Polaris plug for my new sled. Arrived yesterday. Extremely professional quality. Just ordered four more for my buddies. I would recommend these to anyone!
