What reeds go first, top or bottom?

I've changed out the m1000 reeds on my m8a few times. It is always either the top our the bottom ones that are chipped.

I'm having a brain fart and can't remember if its top our bottom, but think its bottom?

I want to run m1000 reeds where they chip, and m8 reeds where they don't. I did this last year and it ran great, but took everything apart and now can't remember!

top go first, this will be my 3rd year on double stacked reeds, yes ive ran two complete seasons with the same m1000 double stacked reeds and going for a third kust to prove folks wrong....plenty of folks will suggest double stacked reeds kill the bottom end, this should be true for most sled with typical clutching and new reeds....ive altered clutching so its still silky smooth on the bottom and crisp, let me say the inital low end issue folks feel with the stacked is way over rated
