What oil with RKT drop in kit

Was looking at this Mystic JT4. It's not completely synthetic. Any opinions?
https://www.mystiklubes.com/do/product/SNOWMOBILE/663096002

i've been running legend oil and really like it. it's clean, smells great and works. that said, with no dealer support in my area and high cost of shipping has me looking else where. after a lot of reading i decided to go with mystic jt4. that's what i'll be running after my last gallon of legend runs out. the cost is less than $25 a gallon and it seems impressive from the tests that everyone has seen posted around here. until someone informs me otherwise or i see anything concerning, i'll save some money and enjoy the convenience of local purchase.

well if your going to take kelsey's advice then running mystik jt4 wouldnt be the answer, its mostly a synthetic oil and believe it states "fully synthetic" on the jug. I was running it in my engine before the tear down and does provide good lubrication from what i could see however I am now searching for a good blend oil after the RKT install...
Heard alot of good things about Arctic Blue and probably the route il go with unless this thread uncovers another good oil at a resonable cost. Arctic blue is made by a local company in MN and is also sold at fleet farm for less then $20 a gallon...

edit: i clicked on that link you provided, i havent seen that jug at fleet and costs about $10 more compared to Arctic and about the cost of legend

Yea I'm more worried about being able to get it. VES gold I was paying like $40. What's this arctic blue you speak of?

Arctic blue. Made in MN, sold at most Mills Fleet. $90/ 6 gal case

Im switching to it if my local mills fleet has it or can get it. One of the highest rated mineral oils ive seen, and recommended by some well known engine guys.

So, I will ask again, WHERE is the mis-information and please note the disclaimer at the VERY top of the article.... Not trying to be flip... but stating that there is mis-information in an article is a strong statement..

Agreed and edited my post. It's always a pleasure chatting with you Kelsey even though we don't agree on everything, I certainly enjoy hearing your perspectives.

Cheers,

I'm using Yamalube...Kelsey was cool with it when I talked with him about oils and options as I also can't get Legend in my area

Yamalube 2S is one of the original synthetic blends with mineral oil that most others have copied (toll mfg. by Torco). It's been around forever, I've used it successfully for over 25 years. It's relatively inexpensive, very easy to find, and just plain works. Old Yamaha 2 strokes just don't rust as evidenced by my "mint" condition '87 Exciter that I still own and has used Yamalube from day one. Hard to argue against that kind of track record and just another reason I think some credit is "due" to these blends over straight mineral oil.

Have FUN!

If you guys are looking for the nearest Legend oil dealer go on their website. That's how I found the only one located in MN, however he only sells by the case. I have a couple gallons of the ZX-2SR that I could sell with cheap shipping if anyone would like to trial without buying a whole case.

closest to me is in colorado, if they're still a dealer. when i called last year, a couple dealers had just sold off all their product and quit carrying. it's a shame because i do feel like it was a terrific oil that did everything and more that i need.

thanks for the offer but shipping is just cost prohibitive these days. i remember buying directly from legend last year and the shipping quote i got was no where near accurate when i got the bill.

Oil

PowerMist is another good one. Super Oil is there best one. Has kept my old Vintage racers together. Many a old school racer swears by there stuff. Race fuel was the most consistent I ever found.

Legend Oil

Ran Legend oil last 2 seasons in Doo 860 RKT, cleaned the exhaust valves end of last season. The showed minimal deposits. Not sure if it smells good , but it is different than Polaris Gold the rest of my group uses. Availability is the issue, will be looking for alternative this season.

Picked me up some Arctic Blue Semi-Synthetic blend in the white jug this weekend. Figured Id give it a whirl.

Arctic Blue semi synthetic....just picked up 4 gallons at my local Fleet Farm for $15 pr gallon. Dan told me to run this in my LR motor. He said Legend oil is good, just expensive.

my 11 pro has had Polaris synthetic oil in it since day one sadly ha. Im putting in rk tek drop in kit this year if I start putting yamalube in I shouldn't lean out my sled should I?
