What oil are you guys running in your trucks?

Good old 15-40 John Deere oil in my 09 dura. I figure if its good enough to run in a 300,000 dollar tractor it probably should do its job in a pickup!

Well I can't argue with your logic, but if you have a new truck under warranty and experience an engine failure you could be denied warranty because JD oil is not API certified.

non-syn. rotella here, and i go off the dmaxs oil reminder when to change it. usually about 6000 miles but i don't drive much more than that in a year so i just try to make sure i change it once a year.

I run whatever the 10 minute quickie lube place puts in......

I am done changing my own oil. Did it for 35 years, and tired of doing it.

I pay the man to do it............

5-40 Amsoil in my Dmax along every 6-8k miles. Use fleetguard oil/fuel filters. Starts better in cold unplugged than the 15-40 oil we have in bulk for farm machinery when comparing to another Dmax on the farm with conventional oil.
I plan to do the same Amsoil with the other diesel I just bought along with 5-20 my wifes Hemi uses.
