what OEM piston to use

I went to order pistons for my 08 700 rmk. Sounds like there are many options for oem. The pistons for my sled are single ring for the price of about 185 per kit. Or i could go with the dual ring kit for same price. Or I could go with the dual ring from same year 700 but instead of an rmk its out of a trail sled but the price is about 155 per set. And of course the parts guy doesnt know shat about sleds just street bikes. I wish i could remember the part numbers but there was about 4 different numbers for the same year. im thinking 1 ended in 606 other was 707. And mine # was something totaly different. So question for you that have changed out pistons in there 08 700 rmk what OEM piston did you go with single ring double ring part numbers would be great and why the price difference between the trail sled and the rmk. THANKS

IMO don't go oem. Oem is a cast piston, which are weak. Ever heard of a piston skirt breaking off on a dragon?

Ya thats what i was going to ask but it was too early and I swear in the first post I put OEM a few times on purpose because I was asking what OEM pistons too buy

Go with the dual ring OEM's and make sure the cylinders and pistons are measured for proper clearance.

It's the dual ring from the 09+ RMK (not the trail sled) parts fiche.

My 08 came with the single ring. Tons of piston slap. changed them out at 700 miles. I put in the dual ring and Ran great all season but when I took the cylinders off at the end of the season one of the pistons was cracked between the two rings and into the top of the piston.

Next I tried Weisco and sent them and the cylinders off to be measured re-nikasilled and I've been very happy with the way it's ran since. Much smoother and no slop.

Sevenhundo, Just like Pownar stated the after market piston kits have proven to be better then the oem so unless your stuck on the oem check out the weisco pistons.
