A tether would be nice as would stoppers for the shocks!

AKLogan, Thanks for posting info about he rear bumper as I didn't know there are other issues with them (BTW, can you email me some pics). I took my Pro out for the first time yesterday with the stock carbon bumper and dang it was slippery confirming what people have commented. Polaris should really make the tunnel sides and boards out of carbon!!!! Then use an aluminum rear bumper and a stronger front bumper!

I tried using it to pull myself out of waste deep snow but ended up grabbing the tunnel. Anyhow, putting one of my rear bumpers on it now. Also my rear bumper has the lower tube which on the Pro allows the snow flap to bend more for less resistance in a wheelie or trenching.

Back to main topic, the Pro is definitely the best "out of the crate" stock sled I have ridden. There isn't really much that needs to be changed but still enough to customize it which is half the fun for those who like to tinker and modify!

I talked to a guy on the mountain the other day and he commented that powder was getting on the belt from the footwell/vent area causing it to slip. Has anybody else had this problem?

nope over 100 miles and i have never had this problem.neither has the other 2 that i ride with.

Here u go racerjb u didn't give me your email or i would have emailed them. If u pm it to me ill send them your way.

there crappy iphone pics but u get the idea of what to look for on yours in case it starts to break

Second picture shows how i think that the bumper broke. Wheeling over and over and the cold weather.

the thrid picture shows what u should look for if your bumper is starting to fail. Can kinda see where its starting to delaminate.

I put 100 miles on mine last weekend.

There needs to be an aftermarket solution for the four holes in the bulkhead plastic. Two can probably be plugged with a simple round plastic plug, but the other two you could fit a golf ball through, up near the front of the a-arms. After 55 miles of swamps and powder fields, the front of my machine gained back the 31 pounds the PRO shed over last years RMK....from snow/ice

And of course one would not want to tow using the bumper, but one can tow another sled out using the bumper-handle mount holes, they did hold up for me.....for 33 miles of towing:face-icon-small-sho

BTW my Iron Dog buddie asked why I didn't get a short track, he said they were better cause they can wheelie so easy.....etc. etc.

But this thing wheelies at will, and when you do your head is like 8 feet in the air!!!! Great way to see over the next rise....

Neither do I. I find that the outer part of the footrest opening stays real clean - I think that air actually exhausts there.

I have a little come in, not as much as an old Edge or Gen II. The pipe kinda heats it up and ices over the hole and then there is no more intake of snow. I'm not gettin' too excited about the holes.

The EV dump hose spewing black crap all over the inside of the bulkhead needs to be addressed. I screwed in a straight 1/4" barb and routed the hose out the "problem" hole be the swaybar. Checked it this morning after several hours in waist to neck deep snow and it was still open so I think I'm good.

What were you towing?

The black spew that u are seeing is prolly from the doughnut not being completely seated mine did the same thing till i got a few miles on it and then it stoped.

i thought the tether was a must as well, i also removed the kill switch. after seeing the bumper breaking not sure you would want to use that for a bungee. i know you can use the soft tie that comes with the bungee to get hooked on the bumper but i'd be nervous about hooking on one side and pulling the tunnel out a little.

You guys think the Polaris tunnel stiffeners are worth it?

i put a set on mine when i installed the tether, jumping from side to side they felt weak, after i put them on i could tell right away jumping on them that they were stronger. i read somewhere else on here that people said they were a little weak, it should cure that, but if you don't like how they clean out the better boards and similar stuff are supposed to be stronger as well.

if you are haveing problems with the carbon fiber rear bumper tube you could replace it with the tube from the standard rmk. it is just a black aluminum tube.

It's around 40 bucks for that piece. U can get some tube from local metal shop for much less.

good point i looked into that at the medal shop, i know you can pull off the board tubes as well but i sure wouldn't want to bend something on it either. see pics of a couple of those bumpers broke now. i might try that cobe one.

Hey guys,
been wondering about the steering column and foot trail strength. I was torqueing on a pro on the showroom floor and there was a lot of flex. I've been on a M8, and have replaced way too many steering posts, and foot rails too, the pro looks good but wondered about these area's longevity.
what do you all think?

we do a lot of medium jumping and drops, nothing slednecks worthy but not tiny stuff...
