What mods do you do to an '11 HCR?

I bought a 2011 HCR in excellent condition for my son last year. He just turned 16 and he is doing some pretty excellent things on this sled. I have ridden it a few times and I am disappointed in how smooth the power is in the sled. I would like some snap when the throttle is pinned. What are some of the modifications that you Arctic Cat owners are doing to these sleds to increase performance?

I have an 11 ltd and put on a 2.6" track. Plenty of snap! in all conditions.

Get rid of that 25lb muffler. Speedwerx makes a nice one doesn't make much more noise then stock.
Venting...
I've had good luck with a speedwerx stage 1 clutch kit, there's also tons of torsional conversion kits out there if you want to get serious.
Next gauge reflash
If your doing a lot of technical riding convert that front end to a standard M length.
They are great sleds!

How many miles are on the sled and what does it have in it for clutching right now? Elevation you are running at? These sleds should rip pretty good in stock form. Might have an odd setup in the clutches or starting to wear something out (secondary rollers or large sliding bushing).

The sled probably has about 1600 miles on it. It was like new when we got it. It makes power pretty well, its just smooth. I do not think anything is wrong with it now. It is really good in all conditions. Just looking for easy improvements to make it better. Clutching is stock, right from the factory and we ride around 7000-9000 feet

I've never personally ran them in an 800, but I put a set of MDS weights in my old m1000 and it made it pull noticeably harder on the bottom-mid range with more aggressive shifting. People seem to like them in the 800 as well.

I run the MDS clutching on my 2011 M8 and love it. I was mostly trying to get rid of that extreme clutch engagement right off idle. Now I've got smooth light engagement for technical riding and overall better clutching throughout the RPMS. It was a good buy!

Put a 2.6 Powderclaw on it, it works well with this track. You can also lighten it a little with a silencer, I have a Ultra Q on mine and it's pretty minimal for sound. 6000-9000 feet, I have a straight 36 helix with stock weights and springs for clutching.
