===what kinda belt is everyone running===

i baught a ultimax xs belt and it didnt last very long it started to fall apart, i trust the polaris belts 1115, i had one last 600 miles with a motor mount bolt missing. :D

I'm getting over 1000 miles on the Ultimax XS belts and have ran them for the last 3 years. If you can fail it in 12 months they will give you a new one for like $12.00 (shipping.) I think I paid under $90.00 for the last one I bought. I've heard the 3211115 is hard on the clutch sheaves causing additional wear. So, what would you rather wear out $600.00 worth of clutches or a $90.00 belt. Polaris can stick there $175.00 belt where the sun don't shine.

My motor mounts have all been replaced and I run a Fire and Ice torque arm and pusher which are slightly different than the SLP ones.

My primary has been trued and balanced and I run Heel Clicker Hammer Time weights, because nothing grabs the belt harder.

I have all the SLP stuff minus the porting and run 40/25 gearing with a 136" 1.25" RIPSaw track with 216 1.450" Woody's studs with around 5/8" sticking out past the lugs, so you might say it hooks up pretty hard and loads the belt and clutches.

have not heard that one..1080 still on it have tried others and probably will try the XS,Polaris is not in the belt business someone has to make them for Polaris ?????
Long thread in IQ section also.

my self i run the 1111 belt, herd its almost as strong as the 1115 but just softer, doest wear out the clutches. not to sure if its ture or not but i herd hey stoped the 1111 and replaced it with the 1122 or something... with the 115 you need to reshim your clutch. the 1080 and 1111 are the same where the 1115 is wider. not to sure about the others. one other option is dayco hp belts. thay also have a 1 year waranty. but havnt herd too much about them on the 900

i ran the hp dayco. got about 50 miles and KABOOM.......$160 belt.....$2300 motor job cuz knocked out the crank seal(under warranty thank god).....45 days downtime in peak sleddn season...pricless.

i will only run the 115..too much riding on the belt...get the best avail. :beer;

but my main question to you is....

--if you already had a crank issue using a "lesser" belt...why chance that again..:confused:

never ever had a crank issue. i kept blown polaris belts in the begining cuz i didnt have venting and didnt know that was the problem back in 07 so i tried a dayco belt. she blew in 50 miles and wrapped around the primary knockn out the pto crank seal resultn in engine damage cuz i drove it to get home after i cleaned the belt out. then i vented and ran polaris belts since. but im curious if other belts are as good or better. XS belt is alot cheaper price....but is it worth switchn? mmmm

xs 809 belt

I have been runing an xs 809 belt for two years know with over 1500 miles on it and still looks brand knew love it before i ran the polaris recomended belt and was going threw two belts every ride so i changed belts and not a problem since then:face-icon-small-coo:face-icon-small-hap

321111backs up 1080 now compound is made for "900" according to charts seems to be working well and not tearing up clutches. cheaper than 115 second gen?

Just thought I would throw an updater in here... I got 768 miles so far this season, mostly boondocking, but also a little bit of climbing and some trail running. The 1115 belt has looked better, lol, but I think it'll be ok to run the rest of the season as its basically a downhill slope into summer.:rolleyes:

I was just looking at this thread to see if that's about average or not, doesn't seem to bad IMO for not having looked at my clutches since I bought the thing, lol:eek: Still been pullin 7500 RPM and 40-45 mph track speed consistently:face-icon-small-hap

(I just don't have anything better to talk about as my sled has been running perfectly thus far;))
