What kind of plows are you guys running on your ATV's?

I don't wanna buy another truck just to have a plow. My dad plows my place with his old truck.

My driveway isn't too bad, but it would take more than a couple passes, even for a pick-up. It's tricky to plow and an ATV helps with being able to do tight spots.

Well if your old man is doing it why worry unless he has 2 feet in the grave.

It's not that simple. LOL
Sometimes he doesn't get there quickly and when I'm out of town...well....mamma wants to be able to get to the mailbox alive and with dry ankles. LOL

SO, the plow is going to be for BOTH of us. :)

anyone dealt with moose and warranty? had my new blade out for the second time today and hooked the sod off the side of my driveway. looks to have tweaked the plow frame, maybe the mount on the atv as well, waiting for the snow to melt off to take a closer look. kind of dissapointed though. think that is warranty or is it my fault?

I've got an '07 Outlander 800 and I've been running my 50" Eagle plow from my old Polaris on it, but i'm thinking of upgrading for next winter. Just wondering who is running what and if you like it of not. Is anyone on here running the Mibar Power-Lift system? Kinda interested in how that works. Seems like a good idea, since it would actually apply down pressure on the blade. Thanks for any feedback guys.

I got the Moose plow. It's working great. I'll throw up some pics when I get a chance.

I have the mibar power lift it does work good not as good as a tractor but better than just the weight of the blade. It will lift the front of the atv a bit. I have a kit for a cycle country blade and a grizzly 660 i could sell you if that is what you have. My driveway just gets to deep for the atv and i use a tractor now. I think warn or somebody esle makes a power lift like the mibar but is way cheaper. I would also recomend getting the country or county plow the one that is taller on one end than the other i think they would help a lot in the deeper snow it helps roll the snow off to the side instead of just piling up in front of the plow.

Don't have a picture on this laptop to post of my quad.
The die-hard certified Honda tech that I am leaves me with quite the snow plowing monster.
Based off of a 2001 TRX450FW... I big bored it, built my own lift kit and pulled out all the stops that limit the control arms etc that limit the lift height. Beefier front springs for the added plow weight. Mounted up Power King Mud Cat 27" tires (measured well over 30 inches tall when new).. never have been stuck in 2 years of heavy snow plowing with them. 3 Moose blades for it, a County Plow for throwing the snow off to the side while doing the road leading to our house, a 50" blade and a 72" blade for various jobs around the acreage. Warn winch provides the lift with no issues to date other than a pinched cable.
Future updates I want to add is the high lift plow mount and the power pivot. Besides hand and thumb warmers on the bike I have a moose windshield mounted for added protection from those cold and windy days.
The Moose push tube and mounting plate have taken quite a beating over the years from ramming snow piles WFO in 3rd gear to 'stack' snow in plowed banks to hiehgts of over 5 feet, and still look like new.
Moose and Warn have never let me or multiple customers down over all the years we have used their products. I would gauge other manufacturer products against them, using them as a high standard of the guidelines.

thanks

Just one question on the county plows, since I didn't see anything about it on the Moose website. Are they only avalible with the right side of the plow being the high side, or can they be had either way? I'd prefer the left side to be the high side. Thanks.

I threw my plows in the garbage and got one of these. I like it much better, it gets the snow way the hell outta your way and doesn't pile up along the edge of the driveway to the point your driveway starts getting skinnier every storm. This is my biggest Quad, I have the little ones also here at my cabin.

HP across the way from us uses a get-up like that. Main road to our house is higher than our house. I have 2 entrences from the road. My driveway curves between the 2. From my driveway to the main road is uphill. When the snow melts and the ground thaws all the uphill moisture between the driveway and road settles in my driveway making a muddy mess. Also have to rebuild my driveway shortly after spring each year as result. I push all the snow from the main road to the front of my house off to the sides of my acreage after each snow fall to keep down the expence of having to rebuild the driveway every year. I clean the fore mentioned area quicker with my ATV and plow than it takes my neighbor to blow his driveway with his tractor blower.
works best for me plus the snowpiles provide moisture in the spring for the double row of trees I have around my acreage.
Enjoy the season !

Well how deep does it get on average? How deep is it on the deepest storms? The reason i went away from the atv and plow is my driveway drifts so bad it will collect a 3-4' drift so it is to much for the atv. So i went to a 4x4 tractor with a snowblower on the back and a loader on the front. On my cement part of the drive way which is only 30' long if the blower leaves snow or what it doesn't get cause it was packed i use the loader to scrape down to the cement. Just depends on how deep the snow is. Even when it was only a 1' deep my atv struggled. Plus i would run out of room to pile it. I wasn't able to push the snow back far enough like you can with a tractor or loader.

On it's maiden voyage back in October.

The blade I run on my beat up Honda 4trax 300 is completely home made from the metal scrap pile material. The blade is a cuttout segment of a well pressure tank. The frame is a spare tire carrier off from a Blazer or Bronco. The lift is hand made with a lawn mower handle. The only item I purchases was the wear strip. It mounts and dismounts in 30 seconds using 3 pins. The ears of the original spare tire carrier are welded to the Honda frame. I can pivot the blade 45 degrees right and left by pulling a pin and placing it in another hole. It looks ugly and is a little beet up from pushing snow the past 5 years but has served me well.

I like the Moose County plows man they can throw the snow with the wing design best to have a large ATV through.
