ATV snow plows

Gonna put one on this year on my 06 Outlander 800 Max....heard the Warn is good and I also like the electric power pivot option....anybody have one ??

Whos a dealer on here for a good price...thanks:)

Any others I should consider?

" MOOSE" best plow on the market, and replacement parts readily available. built very tuff, heavier metal than most other mfgs. Purchase from any Parts Unlimited dealer. .02 A.

Check out Gorilla Winches on E-Bay. I bought one here in MN & it works great & wasnt as spendy as a Warn. Great warranty to back it as well. Get a synthetic strap or rope with a machined fairlead so it doesnt fray the line. Cycle Country or Moose Plows are both great choices, just dont go above a 50" under 500 cc's, power wise. I want to get the cable actuator to assist in the position of the plow left to right, never heard of a powered option until your post. Sounds like a great idea.

running eagles in northern UT, 5 wheelers 5 plows. fast on and off, use gorilla winches. Ran them for 6 years only replace the wear bars every two years. Heavy gauge and idiot proof!

Here is the one I just got done fabricating for my Sportsman. It's a Polaris V-blade with some extension welded on to clear my wider rear tires. It ended up 66" in the strait position and 60" in the V position.

I use a moose high lift plow, no push tubes under the quad to high center on. Stupid quick to take on and off, very nice that way. Just drive into it and it snaps on, hook your winch strap on and your plowing in under 2 minutes.

I pull my winch cable off and use a tow strap instead, you can lift and lower 100's of times and not wear it out unlike a cable which frays out.

I bought my plow with the quad. At first I had the hand lift but chucked that and added a Warn winch. Much easier on the arm! 'Montana Jacks' has a neat winch mount that rotates the winch forward so that the line is pulling straight up. Not over any kind of fairlead. I use the short synthetic line for winter plowing and just swap the top and bottom rollers around. :drum: This year I added a snowflap to the top of the blade to keep the powdery stuff from flying up in my face. Its worth the $$$.

I see this powerpivot from Warn. I likey!!!!

Better than hydraulics? I like the idea of no leaky hydraulics.

Get a plow truck Scott. Why waste time plowing with a quad when you can be done in one or two passes.

Got the cycle country 60 inch blade then made up a mount for my big john deere zero turn mower, added a set of atv chains and bam...works better than I expected..really great turning ability, super traction. blade was like 285.00, steel like 125 bucks, my labor free...lmao :humble::humble:

I don't wanna buy another truck just to have a plow. My dad plows my place with his old truck.

My driveway isn't too bad, but it would take more than a couple passes, even for a pick-up. It's tricky to plow and an ATV helps with being able to do tight spots.

I'll probably need tire chains too...anyone get away without needing them all the time? Often we get wet heavy snow in the valley.

Chains make a big difference on a gravel driveway. ATV chains will only fit small lug stock 25" tires, if you are running bigger tires you will need to look for automotive chains and try a few to find a set to fit. Chains on an ATV are useful for ripping up ice and creating a nice ragged base...plus ripping donuts is fun.

I have a paved driveway, so I don't run chains due to the damage they cause and asphalt is crazy expensive up here in AK. I run 26" ITP Mud Lite XTR's and never had a problem...dry snow also.

I'll take your advice and stay away from the chains on the asphalt.

Hey BTW, did you hear about Xrated...all this time, he thought "asphalt" was a rectal problem. LOL

Only in Minnesota LOL!

Is that who's phalt it was that the dome collapsed also? 21-3, so much for homefield advantage.

HAHA.
Looks like the dome caved in on Favre's streak too.
