Im wondering what some of you are using for the air intake when you are either running without a hood or have trouble with snow getting into the airbox and through the carbs

i had a problem last year with deep powder filtering through my 2 slp flowrites and building up in my airbox. What are some options that i may have to use to stop that from happening, while my hood is still on. im kind of interested in the snowfilters that connect directly to the carbs and bypassing the airbox alltogether and running up out of my hood

any input is greatly appreciated
thanks

Foam over the airbox inlet has always worked good for me.....and alot less restrictive than flo-rite material.

good idea, i thought about that for a bit but wasnt sure if it would restrict some airflow or not

anyone else have anything, theres got to be more

No hood is the way to go for sure. Better cool air flow to the carbs and better cooling to the clutches. -15 pounds just like that. Probably not your first choice for powder riding.

The kick as_ airfilters are good but $$$. I believe the best way to go for other most affordable pods is through denniskirk.com or westernpowersports.com. The pre-filters are a waste of time.
