WHAT IS A GOOD DEMOCRAT?

I realized I have been misguided most of my life and it's time for a change.



I'm a Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I'm a Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I'm a Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I'm a Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm a Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm a Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I'm a Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm a Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies, so long as we keep all death row inmates and al Qaeda terrorists alive.

I'm a Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.

I'm a Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I'm a Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ***, it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

There is no God, we were all created by evolution from primates. So we are actually animals. But yet we should not eat meat or hunt animals as we were made because it is inhumane? Wait a second, I thought we were part of the animal kindgom where animals kill other animals? Should we implement a government branch to prevent animals from eating other animals maybe? LOL

We have to preserve the enviroment......but then they want to introduce animals that aren't native to the enviroment.

So exactly what are you "preserving"?

Fox News is unfair. They have a "right wing" agenda.

Is that why they have higher ratings than MSNBC and ABC combined?

We need the fairness doctrine re-enacted. To get rid of those "right leaning" websites because they're so unfair, meanwhile MSNBC and ABC are fair.

Liberal idiocy

The Constitution is a living document, it should be interpreted to fit the times we now live in.

Wrong, civil liberties do not change with the times, they are timeless. The only way civil liberties should change is if we are given more of them.

We don't like socialism, we like some socialist ideas, but we'll stop implementing them before the US becomes a Socialist state.

Yeah sure, that's what they said 80 years ago. All of these itty bitty changes that we make to our lives bring us closer and closer and one day we'll wake up realizing we don't have our freedoms.

Normal people don't need guns, military and government only.

Anybody that suggests this needs ***** slapped across the face repeatedly. Then they should be confined to a library for about a month so they can read history books that prove time and time again what happens if you let the government take away your means of power. You become slaves.

Now H2Snow, what is with the hate of people from Minnesota. Snowizard and myself are from Paul Bunyan land. There are Sierra Club, Prius driving horse marring people all over the country. Geographic location should have nothing to do with pondering hate. Hate is not a family value.

Like Zach said, we got plenty liberals allright. Most are from the Minnespolis/St.Paul area.
Don't be too quick to label everybody in MN the same, based on your unfortunate encounter.
In case you hadn't noticed, Democrats are everywhere, even in the white house and congress.

Crow Wing county where I live has 850 miles of snowmobile trails. I groom 60 of those miles.
Tree huggers in our county can be a pain, but motorized rec gets thumbs up with the county commissioners.

And we have a 3 year old, 90 member ATV club too, and are working on a SEPARATE ATV trail system.

Anyone hear Rush talking about the Iron Range? I don't remember the quote exactly, but it was to the jist of:

"Northern Minnesota, the only region in the country that is such. Religion clinging, gun-totting, constitution loving.....democrats."

We truly are a ****ed up area, but I think the left voting is because of the mines and the unions therein. I'll bet if the unions weren't around, we'd be as red as Texas.

they got skis and wooden sticks ...I ride a piped sled , and a quad and the kids have dirt bikes and quads ....

I hunt moose in the fall and they go get another box of granola bars ..don'cha see the the contrast ..thats all I was saying

she wears a shirt that says woman power ...she doesn't have any kids never did ...my wife wears what ever is clean and she gave birth to four kids , bakes,chops wood and schools the kids ....

The funny thing is as luvtoride pointed out, is that like on DaRange, democrats are not the liberals that they are percived as in these times. Legacy lifestyle and voting (Union) in an area that is anything but liberal. But that is dying off, unfortunatly.
