What is the full list of updates for the 08 XP's

There was a posting late last year where someone listed all the problems that were common on the 08 XP. I have tried to search and can't find it again.
I know about the typical ones but would like a complete list.
Thanks, Brian

08 xp glitches

- driven clutch alignment is off on many sleds up to 1/8 in - can buy a kit from stuff by dootalkers (this should drop your clutch temp at least 70 degrees if you have that problem)

- side panel venting is needed as the stock body panels and foam beat the decibel test for sound they do not dissipate heat (this is es
pecially prevelent in deep powder)

- Intake clogging problems can be adressed by adding foam strips in the gap between the intake screen and the airbox. This keeps the snow from melting on the screen and blocking it but does not help entirely in the bottomless.

You could just buy an 09 screen which is made of a different material. The best intake is one they have been using for years on the revs. Newer is not always better. The same high flow foam last used in 07 can be velcroed over the existing screen and solve the airflow issue.

Many people have installed screens on the exterior of their airboxes drawing hot air from under the hood. This will only add to your heat soak problems and hot intake air = less hp. Also, unless your entire front section is completely waterproof you will have steam rising up from the exaust and hot clutch.

- Clutch also needs more weight in primary. I have seen many setups but most are above 18.5g and below 20g.

- The driven clutch spring has too low a finish rate. The stock 225/303 is so soft on pressure that the belt slips when its contact patch lessens and the clutch is opening. A 350 finish rate spring will solve clutching the clutching problem. Skidoo's fix of a harder belt is not the best way to go about it if you want to get the most out of your machine.

- The rear bumper will break off if used daily. Again improvements or a step back? The older revs have decent bumpers and a new or used one can be mounted on the xp with just a few holes drilled. Make sure to use bolts with a recessed head as the track does not always run true in the center of the tunnel.

- The handwarmer updates seem to work but the output is computer controlled.

- The guage pod resets randomly and there is now software to update this problem provided by the dealer. Also the magnetic buttons on the pod will delaminate making control of it nearly impossible. That is why on my posts i quote 2 different mileages for my machine. Now it is just a guess as the only display available is the hour meter.

- On their highest setting the rear springs sag to the point that the machine will bottom out at 30 mph on the trail. Delron inserts will cure this problem.

There are quite a few more problems but that is all I have time for.
