What is the best way to ship a skid???

What is the best way to send a skid? I am buying one and I need to know if it is best to have the seller take it apart and send it, or use a big box....or what I should tell him to do. The skid is 141". Going from Northern Colorado to Northern Wyoming.

Build a box for it to fit in. Unhook shocks colapse and secure in a box.

Take a road trip and get it your self. That way you can take care ot it the way you want.It might be cheaper also.
