What is the best turbo set up for the buck 2011, 2012 or 2013 PRO

What is the best bang for the buck:
1)
2011 turbo pro 155 1300 mi
boondocker pump gas
$10,000

2)
2013 turbo pro 155 0 mi
vohk pump gas turbo
$18,500

3)
2013 turbo pro 163 0 mi
vohk race gas tial turbo
$21,500

4)
2012 Turbo Pro 163 550 mi
vohk race gas turbo
$15,000

The 11 and 12 scare me cuz i've heard to watch out for engine issues. The 13 is ridiculously expensive and honestly I need 2 sleds. Thinking the 13 stock and a used 11 or 12.

155 stock is great
163 turbo would be awesome but what the hell do I know lol

just curious how many times you are going to ask?..go look them all over and figure out which one you like best..then buy it and ride it...every one of them if properly installed and tuned will run great...and everyone of them will do at leasst one thing better then the others..every kit is different..and how they are both built and installed/tuned will change how they feel to each person...none are a bad choice unless its been badly installed/tuned, or abused...

Lol first thing ya do is take a 100 dollar bill and light it on fire. If ya put it out you're not ready for any of them. There all gonna run good sometimes....and you'll have to work on it alot more than a stock one. If ya need 2 sleds and it seems like ya have endless money buy a good used Turbo and a stock 13. I bet you'll ride the stocker more than the Turbo! Pull the trigger!

It doesn’t sound like you are ready for a turbo…sounds like you need to ride the sled for at least a season and see how it feels before throwing a turbo on it…

The 13’s may have just as much issues as the 11’2-12’s did…but the issues were minor in the first place…throwing a turbo on ANY sled will only add more problems…

My advice…buy a head kit and maybe a clutch kit…

LMFAO

Vohk turbo? You mean a Boondocker turbo? LOL

Eric just installs them, he didn't make them.

I thought you already had a 2011 with 155 bought and were putting a BD installed by Eric on a snowchecked 2013???? :face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-con Members are going to stop taking you seriously pretty soon. Answered posts will stop when that credibility factor comes into play. No issues at all with asking for opinions, but when the questions are redundant people don't respond. No bash, just an unbiased observation.

FWIW, I responded to you regarding the 2012 163 Vohk installed RG BD turbo. It is pull and go. It's little bugs have been worked out by Eric. The sled rips. For me, a sled I don't have to mess with is worth thousands of dollars extra. Every ride is important to me and the last thing I want is to tinker with the sled on that epic day of powder. I don't know where you got the idea the 11s and 12s had engine problems. Maybe this forum. Don't buy into it. Of course there have been some failures. Sure not enough to warrant not buying one. Anyway, good luck with your search and hope you make a decision that satisfies your goal.

“I don’t know if I should buy a 2012 PRO 155 and turbo it or sell my M8 BD turbo and snocheck a 13 and turbo it by Vohk…I rode a 2011 Pro last year and traded it for Ski Doo that I then traded for a 2012 PRO with a turbo for $15,000 plus sweet corn”

Come on, only you know how and what you want your ride to be, so do it your way…as long as there is snow on the ground, be thankful.

The RG TM8 sold last week, that was a hell of a sled

But the 2012 Pro I had last year made me feel like superman. I can only imagine what it would be like with a **** ton more power (stock it was weak, super weak).

So, yep I can't decide. Your friends 163 seems fair but for $15k and all the new updates on the 2013 spending $6k more might be worth the cash but I don't know, I'm still trying to figure it out.

I am reviewing all my options right now, used 11/12 or new stock 13 or turbo 13 etc. It all comes down to how much money I want to spend and loose. New the latest and greatest and largest depreciation. Can't look at it that way but its hard not to.

I really believe a RG 163 would be fun but thinking a PG 155 would be fun too. I wish there was snow, I'd meet up with folks and get a look and test in person. Unfortunatley there isn't jack anywhere.

My other option is a PG 2011 Vohk Built with all 2012 updates for $11k, 600 miles. 155" but yes your friends 2012 is 4k more and the RG set up. definitely relative

Yep, if you are looking at depreciation as a guideline you are in the WRONG sport, Turbo sport anyway. Like someone earlier said, if you can go out right now and light a benny on fire and not blink, then you will make the transition to turbos fine. Otherwise, ride a new stock 2013 Pro and still have a ton of fun. Money and turbos go hand in hand.:face-icon-small-hap

If you want to play with the big dogs you are going to have to pay. Best idea put in some extra hours / make more money and spend away. Sounds to me like you are looking to spend money you don't have.

Just a quick example of depreciation. I had roughly 32k in a TM1200 OVS Tial turbo. A year later sold it for 12k. Sure the economy did not help, but sadly that is the game we play. Like Jimb said, you have to pay to play.

Again, good luck with your search. I know everyone on this forum will be more than happy to help in said search. Above all else it is all about having fun. And the new sleds, even stock are a hoot. I have several turbos at my disposal and still find myself riding one of my stockers.:face-icon-small-win

Keep you're 2011 M8 turbo and ride the new polaris stock. You said you didn't ride much this past year in one of you're earlier posts so why do you need two sleds. You're M8 turbo looked flawless so by the looks of it you don't beat you're sleds to death to the point you can't keep one sled running for the full season. So in all honesty if you need two sled keep you're M8 and keep the polaris stock.

I sold the M8 RG turbo last week

I've narrowed it down:

found a local 2011 600 mile pg vohk built pro 155 for 11.5.

After I pay cash (money is not the issue but I'd rather buy used so I can still have a stock sled for days when a turbo is not needed plus its good for friends to be able to come on occasion).

I snow checked the 13 but may ditch that and pick up my friends 2012 pro 155 300mi $8500. I could have 2 sleds for $20k for the price of one new turbo sled.

That sounds better to me and what I'm leaning towards. I've heard from multiple sources they are not entirely blown away by the improvements on the 2013, couldn't really see a big difference riding between the two. But, if i decide not to blow my 500 I'll leave the 13 stock and have a turbo 11 ready at my fingertips. But, likely going pro 155s and not 163s

You're going to spend another $800 on rebuilding that 11' turbo by the end of the year...
