What is the best tether for the Pr RMK's?

I had good luck with the stock one till it cut out last year. It decided to shut my machine off right at the top of the climb. Figured out the nipple wouldn't push the plunger in far enough so I just disconnected it till I got back home from that trip. Just keep a good amount of dielectric grease in the stock one to limit any ice.

Pro Armour tether, search it on this site, bulletproof, no problems with snow or ice, wouldn't ride without it!

the clip on mine split apart on the first ride i had it. they wanted to sell me a whole new unit so i had to build a new one out of aluminum. otherwise it seems to work.

Where is the factory connector for the tether on the 2015's?

In the black wiring pouch at the top of the overstructure, just in front of the steering post.
As far as I'm concerned, any tether is virtually plug n play... The connector on the sled will accept two male spades and not require a special connector.

I am a fan of the Pro Armor style clip tethers since they will rotate and pull off cleanly in any direction. Pro Armor, pro design, and noticed recently Canadian Tire sells a Pro design copy in their snowmobile section for pretty cheap.

I retract my Pro Armour tether recommendation. It got stuck during a snow storm during my last ride of the season and wouldn't turn offl I need something that is 100% reliable The Pro Armour will be installed onto my ATVs since I don't ride when it is snowing, they will be perfect.

Same experience here. It works good ALMOST all the time. First time mine froze was during tech inspec at a hillcross race. Tech did not even see it but it gave me pause for thought...

Seems like a quality product for sure, but you have a pin moving in a cylinder and it CAN freeze. Not sure if you can do something to fix it that I would trust with my health??

I will be getting a stock polaris part.

I run OFT's Pro Armor tethers and like it so far. I did have it fail to kill the machine after a bad sidehill. Tether came out, switch failed to immediately trip due to some ice build up. Still worked, but took a few seconds to kill the machine.
