What happened... Grooming Snowy Range

And what's happeneing with the Togwotee...

.... disgusting lack of grooming on the trails that the Lodge has the contract and responsibility to groom?
That thread disappeared too.
I received an e-mail tonite from someone there right now, who was there two weeks ago.
He reports the trails are in worse shape than when I was there Jan.5-11. This has got to affect their business eventually. WTH is wrong there?

Now, down towards Saw Mill, Line Shack, and Crooked Creek, what is called the Shoshone area, the trails are nicely maintained because it is done by a private contractor.

The state could take some lessons from the private contractors one how to groom a trail. Talked to one of the snowcat drivers and he said that if he uses his hours up in 3 days instead of 5 days that the cat just sits because they can't find enough help.
He stated that he would only get in 3 days a week if their was maintaince to do or if their were any breakdowns. He said very rarely do they put in the mileage a week that they are suppost to.
The state is trying, I could see were they put some effort into the trail on top of the Range this past weekend. They can't seem to put their poop in group and do it right, but hey it's only their 2 year trying in the Snowy Range.

I think you were quoting me. If you have a Togwotee map, Trail "T" from Goosewing at the SW and running diagonal towards Lava Mtn Overlook on the NE and most areas of that line are what I believe are the Shosnone area. Subject to correction.

I got an email from a friend who is at Tog this week and says the trails near the Lodge are horrible, and the Lodge claims their equipment is broke down.
But they don't seem to be in any hurry to remedy the problem either.
