^ I disagree to a point. Eth setting adds fuel, because eth gas has less energy per unit.
By the same token, an engine designed to run on premium wants the slower/longer burn of premium gas and low octane can be combatted by the eth setting, giving the engine more fuel which will help offset the quick burn of low octane and help prevent detonation (which isn't as much of an issue now with det sensors that pull spark timing accordingly).
To the original question, in my stock 2012 Pro, at lower alt, never had it over 5kft, I've run non e premium, non e 90 octane (Alaska gas) and ethanol premium all with zero issue or det on the non eth fuel setting.
If I filled it with 87 I'd pull the ethanol plug.
