The government tit has so many people clinging too it, they'd be scared to death that someone was going to make them get off their azzes and work. The only way it might work is if things got so bad, that people had already lost their benefits. And, just wanted a stable government again. Now come on guys. We can't kill or tar and feather liberals. We don't want to be compared to Hitler or something. We just want to make it clear that our new constitution, will be based off the old one, and clearly express conservative principles of government. And, if they don't like that they can get the Frac out, or be carried to the boarder, and booted out.
I'm all for changing voting elegibilty requirements. Only those that are law abiding, self supportive, and of good mental health, should be allowed to vote. Anyone incarcerated, or dependent upon government support, mentally ill, or without a stable address, are not eligible to vote.
We also need a standard, by which, the country controls it's monetary policy. Another words, stays out of debt. Pork barrel spending will be dead in this new country. Term limits will be absolute. We'll want a position where only a percentage of goods can be imported. Because, other countries don't play fair. We'll want an environment where businesses have reason to reside here, and flourish. I believe the idea of patents have run their course, and a less restrictive and predatory method will have to devised.

Ok, so the libs leaving without fighting the deportation is a good way to start. As far as the Govt, are we talking about adopting the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as a starting point? Actually sounds like a good idea.

Living within our means budget that allows for govt surplus should be manditory. I like the 3 year terms, they are long enough to get things rolling, and short enough that if the legislator is a bad egg they cannot do massive damage. The term limits how will they work? I suggested that each citizen is required to hold office in their lifetime, so that we can keep away from the professional politicans.
I agree that everyone should hold some sort of political office in an area they have experience in, have to contribute to society to vote, also have to pass a basic political knowlege test on the candidates so we can be sure the voters know what they are actually voting for or against.
I also vote for harsher punishments on criminals. The one and only thing I agree with in the middle east is this...most countries will chop off the right hand of a thief when he is caught. Ruthless, but effective, not to mention that for the rest of that persons life everyone they meet will know they are a thief. We can have extremely harsh punishments if we want to, because if you are a law abiding citizen you have nothing to worry about.
