what colour len do you run

I took the girlfriend out yesterday and she complained about her face being cold. She was wearing a bacalava with her SPY goggles. I noticed half her face was being exposed using those goggles. I gave her my Scott X89i's and she quit complaining quick and was good for the rest of the day.

To bad I DIDN'T have my Bacalava on and I had to use my spy. And MAN do those things SUCK! they didn't fog up but they are so small compared to Scotts I (YES ME) had to go back home because I couldn't feel my face.

We went right down and ordered a pair of White X89i's for her with the LS lenses. I will be ordering another pair for myself with the rose lenses, just for a spair.

i have a pair of spy goggles with blue lenses......work great almost always.....fog kinda puts kank on clarity........is that a true statement about blue lenses causing retinal damage???

Yes. They allow your retinas to stay dilated, and you wind up getting more of the sun's degenerative rays.... leads to macular degeneration.

Just curious, why would it just be the blue lenses? Won't any of the colored lenses have the same effect?

I've been running orange lenses for 2 years.
They are good for sunny and cloudy days and really let you see the terrain and land contours.
I even do a lot of night riding with them although clear would be better for night.

Bought the Scott89xi's with the light sensitive lenses, and only used them for 1 ride. Couldn't stand them. I kept seeing blue crystals, and it was driving me nuts. I ended up buying the rose color lenses for those goggles, and there much better. Love the goggles, because I don't worry about frost bite on my cheeks no more. I carry Spy's with the orange lenses as my backup goggles!

I've always just worn clear Scotts with no complaints, just picked up a set of 509's though with yellow lenses. Haven't got to try them yet.
