what can in order is the loudest and lightest down to the stock *rank em*

I know there is a ton of threads on what can is best.

I want to know in order what people think is loudest and lightest.

I know Bikeman performance makes a powderlight can that is 4lbs and i think is somewhat loud..??

How much does the Jaws can weigh and is it louder or a bit softer??

I have had HPS cans on older Dragons and really like them but all my friends have HPS cans and I want to be different and have a different sound then them..

1-
2-
3-
4-
5-
etc...

Go old school: open expansion chamber, or better yet, a megaphone. Louder the better for closing riding areas. 550iq

you have know idea what kinda s*** tossin storm you just started, gunna be fun to read though. my Jawz is 3.4 lbs on my Berkely fish scale and i think is the loudest pro i've heard, not that that is good. no idea on anything else

I think it's different in Canada so noise isn't as much of an issue. I could be wrong but I've never any complaints about loud sleds. I personally like the sound of a loud sled, not obnoxiously loud, so I'm curious.

Sound isn't different in Canada, it's still sound. The point others are making is that it fuels the fire for the greenies to justify shutting down riding areas. If you don't have that problem yet, you will.

Fair enough, sound is sound. Luckily the riding area's where I am are so far away from civilization that only sledders are around.

I feel bad for you guys down there.

So if all your friends decided not to jump off a bridge you would anyway, just to be different? Sometimes being the same isn't a bad thing. Just sayin...

jdizzle, you are getting the riot act on the sound thing. I will say that i ride with an HPS can and it is not quiet. I'm not going to ride around with the stock silencer to appease the other side but it's guys who ride with the full on twin stingers that most people are complaining about. At 4,000RPM's I'm pretty sure my sled would pass the Colorado noise test because the valves are not open yet. But then again, that noise test is a whole other can of worms.

Ok maybe I went about this in the wrong way. Haha

Everyone likes to be different, that's why sled wraps, powdercoating, etc.. have become so popular...

So if I want a little "different sound" for my pro than an HPS like all my buddy's what would you guys recommend. Yes I like a good loud sled, but doesn't have to make my ears bleed!

I guess by asking to put them in order starting with the loudest comes across like I was only looking for the most annoying loud can.. LOL i was just wondering what cans would be in same category maybe a little louder or softer

I don't think the OP is looking for a LOUD can. he was just wanting a list of loudest to quietest.

i understand the LOUD issue with the greenies but why jump all over somebody for a simple question. either answer the question or move on.

Aren't you contradicting yourself? Where is your list? :face-icon-small-sho

1. HPS
2. SLP
3 Stock

That's all I have.

Loud cans, Jet Skis, Drag boats all sound ****king awesome when you are the one mashing the throttle, but suck ballz when you gotta' listen to a grommet you don't know doing it, 'tis the nature of the beast.

I rode with a dude with a Big Core Barker on a 800 Ski-Doo, he would love to come up and high side his right ski on me and Braaaap me out, I kinda' forgot to call him to come riding ever again.

I believe the better question to ask would be,

"What can would give me perhaps a more aggressive sound, but still retain the HP and torque output that the OEM put a couple hundred thousand in R&D to produce, oh and is lighter than stock."

Thats gonna' pare down your answers int something more useful.

IMHO
