What can I do to make it float?

2012 Non Turbo M1100. Not a Snow Pro. Stock sled from the skis up.
When I get in the deep powder it just sinks up front. Falls in left or right then pulls you into places you don't want to be! I know the stock skis suck, so what do you suggest, trying not to break the bank? Anyone have a set of used skis that may help? Limiter strap settng? Any suggestions? NO BASHING PLEASE! Thanks in advance

10" slp's work best, C&A 8" would also help a lot. Setting the rear of the skid as soft as possible and trying to carry a little extra at the front of the skid will help some with nose diving but does not make for the best balance set up and it will tend to trench a little more. Buddy put the 10" on his Apex and it really helped.

Bearcat skis would probably work decent too, they are just not as aggressive as the slp or c&a's, but they are 8" wide and I think a little longer than what came on yours.

suspension

If you are looking to get the skis in the air or atleast on top of the snow part of it can be managed by rear suspension setup. Start by backing off front skid shock all the way so that the spring is loose. then snug up tightening retainers and tighten one full turn. this will probably show about 3 treads on the bottom of the shock. Now put your little air pump on the rear shock.. (i know this sucks but it is best to do this outside in colder tempratures) Put about 120psi in the shock when skid is hanging. Put zip tie around shaft of center rear shock then let rest on ground. Note the distance the sled sagged. you are looking for about 1/2 to 3/4' sag. Now you can also set by rider sag, same thing but once you are sitting on it you are looking for 1-1 1/4" sag when seated on sled. This will allow the skid to collapse when trying to stay on top of snow and not trench as bad.

One thing to note is that this setup is not ment for bangin stutter bumps at high speeds on the trail. It will most likely bottem out really hard really fast.
