I had a set of Klim snowboard boots.

Pros:

Very comfortable
Feet always warm

Cons:

Expensive
Only lasted about 7 rides (bottoms ground off from running boards)
Take a while to do up compared to boas

What are the HMKs like? I tried a set on at the snow show and couldnt believe how light and comfortable they are. Do your feet stay pretty warm and dry in them? How do they last? Where is the cheapest place to get a pair?

HMK all the way dude! Very comfortable, easy to get in and out of, feet are always dry, good ankle support and they hold up very well! Not cheap but worth every cent!

They hold up way better... bottoms are still in great shape after 2 years! I think that I paid about $300 or so for mine ( Pros not the BOA)

Hmks are amazing. They keep your feet warm without having to have multiple pairs of socks on. They keep your feet dry which is a big plus

I have had real good luck with Kamik snowmobile boots. I have 4 seasons on mine and they are still in good shape. I picked them up at Canadian Tire for $60.

boots

HMK's , I Had a pair that was 2.5 years old and the bottoms were tearing off, and were all shredded up from kicking snow on the running boards, took them back to Kirk, the owner gave me a new pair, said the bottoms should not come off, You can't get better service than that. There lite and also look pretty cool too

I have a pair of Radiums, good boots, look like new after a year.

My last pair were Baffins, they did not last as long as I expected, but I realized I was trying to kick the snow off, and the running boards cheese grated them.

I heard fro a couple of people that the HMK pro boas are nice, but they left you with wet feet.

I rode all last season on the pro boa's.great boots, takes a few rides to break them in but once you do they are very very comfy..my feet did get wet in them( I heard the new ones are more waterproof) but with that I must also admit my feet never ever got cold(rode many trips in -40 and colder)...I will wear my gortex socks in them this year ....

Just bought my Klim Adreline GTX boots and for what I can tell walking around with them on in the house and standing on the running boards they are sweet! If they are like the rest of the Klim product line I'd bet I'm happy for a good many years.

(as for boots getting torn up on running boards. What would anyone expect?, they are like cheese graders and they are metal, the boots are rubber. Pretty simple to understand what will happen.)

I've got burton snowboard boots, never wet, always dry and warm no matter what time of year.

Snowboard boots are a little bulky and big for most running boards if you have size 11+ from my expierence and trying them on. Best thing to do is try both types on and go stand on a sled in the show room. One of each and see what you like better.

Cowboy boots!

JK...this is always a debate between Klim and HMK. I personally prefer the Klim Adrenline GTX.
