What bands were you listening to when you were 10?

Sunday afternoon, there was only 2 channels on TV if you could get the rabbit ears tuned, we were forced to listen to polkas on the radio (that was all that was on at that time other than the morning church broadcast) Later in the afternoon, 50's and 60's music was played on the radio. In '73 8-tracks were in although many people still played the vynil records or reel to reel.

The Million Dollar Quartet. It was Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Also Bill Haley and the Commets. Rock and roll was just being invented...Rock-a-Billy!

1971....that was a funny time in life for me. I was just figuring out that music was kind of cool! The Vietnam war was raging and all the CCR stuff was probably on the radio....AM radio that is! Any music I purchased or was given was on albums or 45s. ;)

When I was 10 we had a record player with a crank to play Tex Ritter 78's and and my mothers 49 0lds had a radio to listen to the modern stuff...Rock-A-Billy.

How did we ever survive ? No video games or internet (snowest !!)
We still had sleds with rails to slide down hills.
My dad gave up the '58 Yukon King (which I got to ride) and had purchased a used Ski-Doo which he rode.
Bonanza, Virginian, Gun Smoke, Lawrence Welk Show... we thought we had it made back then !
