I am curious to know what essentials you pack when you head out to play. I want to make sure I have thought of everything. I tend to aire on the safe side since I play in the mtns solo quiet often.

Yeah my gps is a 2 way as well (rino 530 hcx). Forgot the probe and shovel but do carry them as well. Looks like I just need to bring some tampons and butt wipes and some pink polka dotted panties. Im set.

You list your beacon as something in your pack--hope that isn't where it stays--

Yeah my avy beacon is chest mounted and the spot beacon is mounted to my pack since it is a line of sight device......Im ready to put the KTM away and pull out the sled.

all of the above plus the all important arctic cat tow strap,small hatchet,ziploc w/drier lint and lighters,(good fire starter)2 flares,size of two king size snickers,exccalent fire starter,since every thing around it frozen or wet,couple of pieces of cardboard covered in wax,it all fits in a single ziploc baggy,it would be very bad to get separated from the group and breakdown and have to spend the night on the hill,heat,light and stay dry..02 HATCHET multi purpose tool,hammer,knife,self defence,body dowl,tunnel straightner,and many more.

Everything listed here plus a weapon (pistol)of your choice and about 3 beers. Glow sticks are good and the AA battery kit for your rhino incase you forget to charge it or are out for multiple days. Don't forget the cougar tag.
