what are the signs and symptoms of broken reeds?

Bottom end is terrible, feels like it's stupid rich. This happened to the turbo in our group this w/e, sucked until you got past it.
 
I was having a really hard time leaving the line after a break. Sled would just bog out. I would have to feather the throttle to get it to go. Symptoms progressed to the point I knew I would be getting stranded on the hill sooner than later....

So changed reeds & it was back to normal? Please describe the "bog" leaving the line for us. Wouldn't come off of idle, but ran fine after engagement? or wouldn't run right at low rpm (4000-5000)? Thanks. --Matt
 
Never had a problem with the start. Would idle fine but as i rolled up on a hill and hit the throttle it was like a massive bog. would sputter and I would end up turning out right away 5000 RPM area. As well my A/F gauge would read in the 13's when normally it would be 12.4 in a full pull. When I tore down the rubber intake boots were coming apart as well.

if chipped badly(or one petal gone), you can end up on only one cylinder. acting like on cylinder is gone but you have sparks and nothing happen!!! if chipped a bit, rough idle,need to feather throttle to start and will going full throtle, the sled will act like you are too rich then once in a will will go ok wot for just a pass and so on.
 
Having trouble with my rg m8 now..:( would a broken reed cause shooting And sputtering at idle? Sometimes i Get pto injecor failure on the bd box.. But the shooting and sputtering is still there if I connect the injectors without the bd box.. Sled is very hard to start also..
