Will have a 1100 turbo in the shop and the owner is looking to drop front end weight. What light weight hoods will fit the 1100 and what are some other options for front end weight loss? Has a lightweight muffler already installed.

Diamond S makes a mesh hood.
C3 Carbon Fiber hood
I think skinz was going to make a airframe hood
And there was another guy on here from SE mn that had a headlight delete that in combo with a different intake would drop 5-6lbs.

Other than that the 38 wide kit is about a 1lb lighter if it does not have that if it is a 12.

Lighter than stock skis.

Lightweight brake Rotor.

C3 Belt Drive.

Supposedly if you do a reverse delete you can save 8-10lbs and gain 4-6hp at the track but of course you lose reverse.

Other than that not alot of weight to cut most of the weight is in the engine and you can't do much about it.

Turbo11T pretty much summed it up, C3 hood would be the best but depends on the money he wants to spend. Otherwise you can modify the stock hood by removing the headlight, stock intake and bottom of intake panel and lose some pounds there. Add a LED light which will brighter than the stock headlight. I personally like the look of the sled without the headlight on it. Once i get my parts back from powder coat I will post some pics with no headlight.

Black diamond has a light front end -4lbs. Also have a light weight hood and light weight gas tank. Personally I'd spend money on more power before the light weight stuff. Way more to be gained for the$.
