Most all of the new waterproof/breathable fabrics are at the very least, decent. What sets the clothing manufactures apart is their fit, and their warrantee.

Last night I just received my new Jacket/Bibs/Boots from HMK. I was not able to size them in person as I ordered over the phone... that made me a little nervous.

Not to worry, they fit like they were custom-fit for me! I could not believe it.
The Action Jacket is Heavy Duty Cordura, and is loose in the right places without being baggy. The Voyager Bib also is cut for practical movement both on and off the sled without sacrificing any features. The boots...well the boots fit like they were custom as well.

The HMK 2 Year warrantee is pretty impressive, and judging from CoyoteGirl's comments, I won't be needing it anytime soon!

HMK seems to be super-high quality without the super-high price.

My two cents...

I have a feeling you will regret posting this piece of info. :beer;

LOL I forget sometimes who all I'm dealing with on here............. but it hasn't been to bad! ;)

I have the Ascent and the Stealth pant. Neither are bulky. The Ascent is just a shell. The Stealth comes w/ a removable liner. I prefer the material that the Stealth is made of, very light and flexible! However, the Ascent has vents, the Stealth does not. If you run cold, get the Stealth. If you run hot, get the Ascent. If you get the right size, they aren't made to be a "baggy" fit. They do seem to run a bit big though, just an FYI. They both have belt loops and velcro "sinchers" for getting that "right" fit. :beer;

don't need the name brand "klim"

Gore-tex is Gore-tex.. just bye any brand that has the lable Gore-tex on it. Unless buying the name Klim makes you feel better on the inside..
