we are leaving in a month for west yellowstone!!! i have been out west riding before but never been there. the reason we decided to go there was because we have some older guys going that dont get into the climbing and powder riding. my question is, what are the snow conditions there?, i was told that Big Sky and Island Park were area that we can play in. hopfully i get alot of feed back, and some new pictures would be nice to get me pumped up.

hmmmm..... west yellowstone huh???? snow conditions are very bad.. just got back from west on sunday... very, very bad conditions.. id say, better go somewhere else...

many miles of riding, easy trails to some of the best boondocking around, even a few hills to climb
you can count on snow, ask around im sure someone will give you some good destinations

West Yellowstone is an excellent riding area. Easy trails for the people who want to ride trails. Excellent boondocking/powder riding, and decent climbing. Black, Big Sky, Teepee, Red Canyon, Lionshead, and Sheep are all excellent areas to play. If you go back into Big Sky, watch out for the rock ridge on Fiberglass hill though. Also watch for rocks on Lionshead.....there are lots of them. South Plateau is an extremely easy area for all to ride in, and the snow is usually excellent. Great meadows/playing. Hope this helps.
