As for tiger Grant, it IS closed... unless you're gonna go enjoy some AUSM trail riding. (oh, but good times is petitioning them to make more trail... that's JUST what we were hoping for!)
This whole thing is bull, it just disgusts me what the forest circus has done.
DAMN, Its so close and so much to offer. The only logical thing i can do it quit snowmobiling because thats what they want.....right? Im just wondering how many of the guys up here have any idea that its closed and how many will still ride the area. I know every week people from denver head up and ride tiger too. Oh well, we snowmobilers are causing the FS too much money, and the hippies so much stress when we are on 6ft of snow and 20miles into the backcountry. What will we lose next, the right to own a Diesel because the exhaust is black? HA, doubt the snowmobiling will stop on tiger anytime soon, just because lack of knowledge.
It'll stop. They'll hire more of those idiots like they have handing out green peace fliers down town as deputized 'green cops' and then claim they're adding 'green jobs'.
Sorry to hear about the buggering. Well, at least no one is fighting their plans to expand RE parking so it can accommodate all the displaced riders....Thanks in advance to all involved in that future buggering....
And the good people that could never get a parking spot at RE will still not get a spot, cause now the displaced riders will be taking all those new parking slots
Hate to have such a bad attitude, but i don't see much of anything positive coming our way. Their just going to keep taking it bit by bit and our impotent representatives will think themselves fortunate to gather up the crumbs left behind.
I guess it's hard to blame them when so few CO riders actually belong to CSA or a club. Somebody start a poll and lets out the tightwads! There is absolutley no excuse for not paying your dues. If you can afford to ride, you can certainly afford to pitch in 50 bucks. Nobody's asking you to run for congress, just lend a hand where you can.
Who am I fooling....those people don't even open these threads, that would mean pulling their heads out of the f'n sand.
I've donated about $1500 to BRC and USALL over the last 4 years, but I think I'm seriously going to start budgeting donations in addition to everything else.
That is incredibly stupid of us to spend, literally, the tens of thousands of dollars we spend on this stuff then not pay dues to the organizations that are fighting to allow us to exercise that freedom.
I would like to see us lobby to have a portion of our registration fees be given to these groups outright .... that' be a good deal.
Just to let you guys know the battle is all over the countryA few years back one of our SD snowmobile club people got to talk to one of the main people out in DC who are always trying to shut down Yellowstone. She was told by this guy, they dont want anybody out there for anything period!! They want it to look like pre European times, no buses, no hikers, no horses, no nothing
Bascially put a fence around it and dont let anybody in!! This is not why they were put aside years ago, they are supposed to be for our enjoyment. I for one always give to a snowmobile club and to the SDOHVC (Southdakots off HWY vehicle Co.) to help during the summer also. They will never stop and either can we
I love CO. and riding out there is the best! I never want to see it go away. If you guys get something going let me know I will give to your effort also.
