need boost

Just add boost, that's all ya need! The apex is a very light riden, meaning ez to throw around just sucks when ya get stuck :)But if turbo isn't in mind a boss seat saves 11 lbs,and rear skid is like 20 lbs.

500-550 is impossible. Talking wet ready to ride. Under 630 is probably impossible.

4k....find boost forget weight loss. 4k buys a lot of weight loss, but still will not make the sled ride with newer Dragon or M1000.

Boost first, weight loss over the next few seasons.

Biggest bang for your buck will be the rear skid. A t-sled will drop like 38 lbs, some of that includes the drop brackets which you can do for pretty cheap on their own. As was mentioned the seat weighs a ton as does the light pod and windshield on the hood. Lower front a-arms will drop some weight or you could go full tsled front end for I think its 12 lbs. Add a Ytz7s battery for another 10lbs off. I dropped 93 lbs out of my Rx1 turbo with a ridiculous amount of work and it still weighs 625 full of fuel.

If you are a good shopper and pick up some used stuff your 4K will get you 60-70 lbs.

Have Boost... Sweet...

Skid with drop brackets, Seat, Exhaust, and A-Arms. Losing the head light pod is almost free.

You can get all this for 4k. I did.

Others have already said and I agree... change the seat, front and rear suspension, floats, light pod, different skis and you might be close to 550 dry, possibly a little less.

Good luck!

weight loss

the same as already stated, get rid of the luggage rack and light and go to leds and u bolts. you can also remove the radiator and fan, have run mine without issue. I actually think on a boondocker it probably heats the water up sitting there next to the turbo. julio
