Weekend get away need answer fast

Steamboat is another 3 hours farther than Laramie, WY. Is it worth the extra drive? You have RE, buff pass once in Steamboat.

Any rental places in Laramie? Might bring a first time mountain friend.

Steamboat area is lacking in snow IMO. I been riding around here for 10+ years and can't remember a year like this. I don't know about rentals in Larime, Maybe TNT motor sports or Maverick Motor sports.

Do a mapquest from your location to South Fork, CO and Laramie, WY
It is a huge difference

True, both are basically on the Colorado state line, just opposite ends of the state. WC would most likely be an added 6-8 hour drive from Laramie, but IMO, the snow is better. And most certainly not as pounded as the Snowies, given the fact that it is off the beaten path.

Yes, but the title of the thread is a weekend getaway and he is in Indiana like me, and driving to WC for a weekend would be pretty crazy.
But on the otherhand, if I was going to drive a 1000 miles to ride the Snowies I would do it during the week and not on a weekend.

This is my first stuck on my new pro on Feb 4, 2012 in Colorado Which was a bout time!

Nice, what area, I am still waiting on heading out for my 1st trip
and haven't even picked up my M1100T from the dealer yet.

Hope that is a Harmon jack, I have two and may start carrying both of them
like Bill does when I get my "Fat Cat"

Where was that? No way could you get stuck on RE/Buff like that on the 4th. It hasn't snowed up there till today and even today's snow isn't substantial.
