Weekend get away need answer fast

West of Laramie Wyoming.....check posts in Wyoming section and u will see snow reports....

A little to the west of Laramie, wy. They have a very good trail system making it easy to get around if you don't know the area well. Albany just had a big storm hit a little less than a week ago.

Wolf Creek in Southern Colorado has the best base and the most recent snowfall. You can stay in either Pagosa Springs or South Fork.

My riding area, Rabbit Ears/Buffalo Pass has not gotten significant snowfall since January 26th, 2012.

Forecast is calling for snow, but nothing much. Up to 3".

Thinking of coming to co from Indiana leaving today where is the best snow for the least amount of drive into colorado thanks Chris

I am from the Fort Wayne area, where are you located?
I have been sledding all over Colorado and Wyoming for going on 20 years.
The Snowies is the best drive by far, just straight down I-80 and not even any mountain passes. I had ridden the Snowies a few times and it is a good area with a trail system, so it is good for someone new to the area, usually crowded on the wekends though. Most places in Colorado you would want to find somebody to show you around.
What sleds does your group ride?

Wolf Creek best in CO now, Lake City, CO is also showing good to excellent riding. Most areas still needing a lot more snow. Check out the Colorado Snowmobile Asso. site. You can click on any club and find out about the sledding in that area. West side of Snowies not as good as east side, they had a great dump last week. Bottomless snow in most areas, in other words, all sugar.
