wear your teather......

Just a quick note...I always wear mine when playing but usually don't worry about it while road ridding in and out of the play areas. Not anymore, throttle stuck and got bucked and off the sled at about 50, could hear the sled throttle up and take off, hit an 8in tree off the side of the road at about 70mph, buddy was up front and watched the sled hit the tree about 3 feet up in the air. up rooted the tree, snapped it in half and ripped the bulkhead in half.....anyone looking for parts from an 05 rev?

You know, for all that, the hood/front end doesn't look bad !

Sorry for your troubles.

Glad your ok. But I noticed that you or one of your buddies wearing motorfist pants. How are they working out for you?

Think it's fixable....anyone got a front bulkhead laying around 04-07 rev. 2 of us are wearing motorfist bibs, love them but they are a little stiff out of the box.

Nice post but sorry for your troubles. Really lucky it didn't missile lock on your buddies down the trail. They would have looked worse than the tree. My buddy jumped on my brand new sled and didn't hook up(never does). Ended up rolling over my sled, running in wet snow, snow made a block over the throttle cable and jammed the throttle half open. He caught it on the rollover and had to hold the sled so the track wouldn't dig in and take off until we could get to him. Dumb dumb dumb...

That sucks but glad you are ok and no one was hurt.
I ride with mine all the time even loading on/off the trailer (and yes I get crap from my buddies for that), cheap insurance.

Not to hijack, but I was towing a guy (krazy Kanadian) out one time. He broke his handlebar stem, so he had brake and throttle, just needed some help with steering. anywhoo, we were coming out on a single track trail, he lost his balance and fell off the sled, pinning it wid open, it hit the rear end of my sled, lifting it in the air so i had no braking. It pushed me 30-40 ft before it finally turned me sideways and his sled got stuck, still wide open. it was some scary stuff, that all would have been prevented with a tether.
