Weak season? How's riding been for you guys so far?

Not good in North Idaho. We have some up high but none at the house. The snow we have up high is tough to ride in...I guess I should say ride on as it is about 3' deep with a 6" crust. Need some snow to cover up a really good base.

Doesn't seem much different in southern CO. I don't expect to get out until January. Some years you get lucky and can ride early. Problem is, every year I try to get out before Jan I am riding off trail and breaking stuff. One year is was three Fabcraft CF t-arms before x-mas.

Now I am just more patient. I'll go for the first ride in about a week. Our best riding is Feb, March, April and May anyway. That is 4 solid months, 6 in years when it really dumps. Don't get me wrong, I am READY, just a little older, wiser and feeling cheap this year.

Just got back from corbin-pipeline, number eighth ride of the season. Best year to date for us. awesome

Wow we ride this area alot and have been since 1995 and the snow pack is terrible.....some areas are "ok" but some area BAD....worst I have seen in a longtime for sure. Started out good but dec sure was slow for snow fall.

Its not to bad in southwest Montana. There could be more but im not complaining.;)

sucks in the Snowies

Snowies are pretty good on the back side. I have a few pics just like that. Front side is very thin - stay close to the trail until you get over to the back. Its sad that in Colorado I have had more snow at the house than there is in the mountains. Of course it has all melted at the house so I can't ride here but usually by now the mountains are in real good shape. You can find powder here and there, but there is no base. That should be changing for the better with in the next week or two but come on - it will be the middle of January for crying out loud. NEED MORE SNOW

Just dumped 8" in Gardiner last night, probuly a good foot or two in cooke :p

It sucks here in VT too, not that anybody cares, haha. I moved back from Montana to help my brother get through some financial and separation issues and was hoping that I could at least get some decent powder/boondocking in, but I have yet to ride. We have no base so it is risky and I am not much on trail riding, especially after living out west. I can't wait to get back out there!

The worst winter I can remember at Togwotee for the last 15 years that I can remember. Tried Cooke City and it was great for just a few days but sounds like it is terrible up there as well now. What happened? This is killing me, this week is not looking any better for togwotee, only a couple inches expected.

The snow in southcentral Alaska is slow in coming. We had a lot more than this by this time last year. We're still riding, but we have to go a lot further than normal to do it and the rides are just mediocre. The snow is settled and hard in many spots due to recent winds and freezing rain, and other areas that are normally open for riding are closed due to lack of snow cover.

Thems the breaks, I guess.
