We need engine stickies

It seams like the forums questions lately are all engine specific. How about some mini sub forum categories to separate out the specific engines? You could do it for all 4 manufactures. Just have a link under articat or polaris that says engines. After you click the link you could choose from engine specific forums where members could post what to and not to do, clutching info, ETC. that way we can accumulate info and not have to re post is all the time. Often i need very specific info and i can not find it using the search. And with the traffic being down, its not even worth asking if i need to know within an hour or so.

For isntence, under polaris, you could have figi tripples, liberty 600-800, VES 600-800, 440, Liberty 755-900, 600 H.O.,600 cfi-800 cfi, and finaly 600R. I think this would suffice for a very large amount of info which is lost in the mix of new forums asking about which can is the loudest and which turbo looks coolest in the parking lot. Under each specific forum you could have more specific info like for instance.

Polaris forum (click)
engine forum (click)
600 H.O.forum (click)
It opens up into the standard forums and at the top there are stickies such as

Jetting-altitude
clutching
Pipes
Porting
electronics (wiring is confusing to me so we need that)
case mods
oil injection-case mods

Granted this is just in my opinion. Just thought it might help.

I doubt they would go for further sub categories, but I can do more work in the Increasing your IQ sticky. Sorry, been very busy and stressed lately. I will try to do a better job. Been meaning to add some more stuff to that anyway.

Its cool man. Just I think it would be a good way to save info. I like reading to lern verses asking questions as often people do not like to repeat info, and people only know I'm a dumb *** when I open my mouth. I think that if we did have this, that we could create very in debt stickies. I would donate my time if needed. If winter continues to slip away like it is I am going to have a lot of free time real soon.

I would say rather than sub-forums, just make one sticky thread about engines, and put links to your in-depth write-up there. Ideally you would have all the threads, and then be able to filter threads based on the tags, but I don't believe the software supports that.

It would be great if someone had the time to make all the threads have detailed tags, and you could search based on them, that would come close.

Like it's been said though, people already complained about lower traffic in each section when it was broken down to chassis. If you then separated engine questions from chassis questions, it would further split the traffic. I just don't think many people would go for it.

Edit: I know, I belong in the cat forums, but it's something I've been thinking about also...
