waterproof seat cover material

Has anyone noticed the seat foam fills up with water and the seat weighs 40 lbs! I only started noticing in the spring. I guess it must be soaking through the fabric. Is there an aftermarket material to try or should I try to strech a sled seat cover on it?

Even if the cover is water proof, the water will get in from the bottom side. I take my seat off after every ride and hang it vertical. It's crazy how much water drips out.

Seat Concepts

I ordered a Seat Concepts seat for My 2013 Husqvarna 511. I have not used My bike in Powder yet. But in the instructions it said to install provided plastic to act as a barrier between the seat material and foam. I hoping this should help keep water out.

I think i will try wrapping the seat foam in a garbage bag before I staple the new cover on.

I dont think I got the plastic with my seat concepts seat and yes it fill right up and If I dont pull it in the shop overnight its a frozen ice cube and my *** gets wet the next day!

I don't know why a manufacturer isn't using a waterproof material. That foam is used in the marine industry and would make great bike seats.

Sealing the plastic to the seat base also helps as well as applying silicone to any expelled threads (on the inside of the cover)
